Maya Lea uses various theatre techniques to aid participants in gaining the necessary skills to become well rounded, engaged, self-aware and self-advocating individuals. Her work is dedicated to utilizing theatrical tools to assist communities in the development of active dialogue around personal, social and political issues. This work is done through methodology rooted in Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed, Ensemble Work, Improvisation and Performance.
